DDs With Fewer Than 2000 Views
In 2015 there were quite a few journals called "DD Highlights" (find by using a #ddhighlights tag) to feature DD favourites according to the taste of the person putting out the journal. I put one out about minimalism. I've been meaning to put out a journal that highlights DDs with less than 2000 views but just managed to make time to actually do one. The project was promoted by Mrs-Durden, but I actually found out about it when reading an article by Lintu47 I clicked on when it was a submission to DevNews. She and I commented about DDs and I mentioned about noticing some DDs that had fewer than 2000 views, or even less than 1000.
It seems to me ever since the DDs were removed from the footer there has been less attention to them by the community. When something is out of sight then it can be out of mind, too. When the DDs were in the footer they caught the attention of anyone checking out the message center. Now, people need to consciously click on the DD link from the Today page or if the link has been added to the header on the profile page. A few years ago DDs could easily get 5, 10, 15, 20 (or more) thousand views in a day. These days I've noticed some with less than 2000 views TOTAL. This is crazy. The 'theory' has been when the site removed the DDs from the footer and moved the link to the today page then the exposure would be greater. I just don't see it. If the exposure is greater then shouldn't there be more pageviews for each DD rather than less?
So, I thought I would feature DDs with fewer than 2000 views. Is the day of DDs coming to an end? Take the time to look at these DDs that deserve more recognition.

I have over 1,000 views, and I've never had anywhere remotely close to that. lol I love all of the other artwork you featured, as well. I, too, really miss seeing the DD's on the bottom of the screen. It was a treat. It's like they're hidden, now, and it doesn't make any sense. In fact, it lessens the DA experience, somewhat.
